For 38 years, Benny Shabtai, from Miami, Florida, has co-founded or served in a leadership role at companies in the retail space. As founder and president of Raymond Weil USA, launched in 1977, Benny Shabtai managed the daily operations of the retailer specializing in marketing and designing custom watches until 2009.
Before he stepped down from the company, Benny Shabtai launched Di Modolo International in 2001, a luxury jewelry brand he still oversees. The innovative brand became popular for its 18-karat gold and diamond jewelry designs, which encompass the concepts of purity, clarity, freedom of movement, and pleasure of wearing. The bold passion and elegance of Italian culture are the inspiration for this jewelry line. He has been integral in raising the brand’s profile, with celebrities and high-profile women purchasing pieces.
For three years beginning in 2011, Mr. Shabtai was a Viber advisor and investor. He then co-founded Botanika Life a few years later in 2018. Today, as CEO, he is in charge of the retail brand that sells luxury, natural, plant-based beauty products that are sold in places such as Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks, and other high-end stores.
